The disk goes *Click* as the drive starts reading...

You wait patiently as the computer loads the disk you've just inserted into the floppy disk slot. You're a little surprised the computer still treats it like a disk, what with that card from the catalogue stuck to the back, but you'd believed it was worth a try anyway.

The little green light on the computer stops blinking, and the whirring sound quits. There is a deep silence for a moment, followed by an unearthly buzzing sound. "Wha-?" you exclaim intelligently, until you see the silver face on the screen has reappeared. As you watch, the Wocky begins to speak.

"I was born on a foggy morning in the middle of Neopia Central; because I showed much aptitude with electronics at a young age and my family needed the money, I was soon apprenticed to an Elephante by the name of... no, I won't say. However, I discovered soon off that this scheming boss of mine wasn't just a simple computer salesman - no, he was determined to create a superintelligent computer, though why he wanted to do so, he never said. As days and weeks went on, he became increasingly obsessed with this project; what had started out as innocent sketching and daydreaming for him soon became a raging passion. His life revolved around that computer and what he called a way to unlock the secrets of the mind, to make a computer think and act like a real person.

"I can still remember that day as if it were yesterday; I got into a huge fight with my boss - I believed we were spending too much time and money on this super-AI project of his, but he insisted that it was necessary for his "plans." He gave me a list of instructions to complete the computer, and I finally gave in, deciding it was easier to just build it instead of fighting him; if it didn't work, perhaps he would return to a more rational state of sanity.

"With that decided, I say down at a lab table, surrounded by bits of half-welded metal, wires, and screws, patiently following the instructions on the sheet. As I was completing the third step, the computer suddenly turned on. Not suspecting anything, I reached over and hit the button to turn it off... and the next thing I knew, I was looking at you, here and now."

You look at the face staring out at you from the depths of the screen. The fur on your back stands on end as you stare into its sunken eyes, eyes that seem to be pleading with you to do something, anything! You...
