Read Story So Far

Into the Deep Catacombs...

Ah, hello there young neopet! I see you have come for a story. We have many stories here, many tales to be told and read. Look around at these shelves, and delve into as many books as you want. I guarantee there will always be more than you could possibly imagine.

Go on, don't be shy! Look, they're even divided by type of story. Over here, I have adventure stories. If you're looking for romance, try that shelf. Oh, and don't forget the biographies.

If you're looking for history, we have that, too. I'm afraid that much of our source material is in storage, but you can enter that through the side door over there.

Chosen Option: Browse the adventure stories

Did anyone say boo?

You wander over to the shelves holding the adventure stories. A quick scan confirms the librarian's assertion. All sorts of spine-tingling adventures await!

You mull over which story to start reading. There's several stories with the usual sorts of dangers in them- The Esophagor, the Ghost Lupe, and other spooks. Then there's stories of pet-eating cannibals on Mystery Island, spooky tombs in the Lost Desert, lost caverns of ice in Terror Mountain...

The list goes on and on, and so does the clock as you enjoy looking through the options. Better make a decision as to which story you want to read, and ignore those shadows moving in the corner.

Chosen Option: Search the Catalog

Look, a Computer!

Who knew this musty old place had computers? Anyway, it's opened up in the library catalog.

For a moment your mind is blank, staring at the computer screen and the six options, trying to ignore the shadows.

You first look up all your faviorite authors, but sadly all of those books are either checked out or ones you've already read. Then you test out the "Pick a Random Book" option, but none of the titles selected interests you. Maybe you should try some of the books your friend recommended the other day.

A mysterious window on the computer screen pops up out of nowhere. You see a face on the window, and the cheap, barely-audible speakers of the computer say something.
