Go on, don't be shy! Look, they're even divided by type of story. Over here, I have adventure stories. If you're looking for romance, try that shelf. Oh, and don't forget the biographies.
If you're looking for history, we have that, too. I'm afraid that much of our source material is in storage, but you can enter that through the side door over there.

You mull over which story to start reading. There's several stories with the usual sorts of dangers in them- The Esophagor, the Ghost Lupe, and other spooks. Then there's stories of pet-eating cannibals on Mystery Island, spooky tombs in the Lost Desert, lost caverns of ice in Terror Mountain...
The list goes on and on, and so does the clock as you enjoy looking through the options. Better make a decision as to which story you want to read, and ignore those shadows moving in the corner.

Who knew this musty old place had computers? Anyway, it's opened up in the library catalog.
For a moment your mind is blank, staring at the computer screen and the six options, trying to ignore the shadows.
You first look up all your faviorite authors, but sadly all of those books are either checked out or ones you've already read. Then you test out the "Pick a Random Book" option, but none of the titles selected interests you. Maybe you should try some of the books your friend recommended the other day.
A mysterious window on the computer screen pops up out of nowhere. You see a face on the window, and the cheap, barely-audible speakers of the computer say something.

You lean forward, trying to make out the words within the staticky recording- or whatever it is. The face itself seems to be getting clearer and your eyes pop at the strung out and pleading look on the wocky's face. It looks half starved, maybe even beaten, and the wierdest part is that something seems to be glinting metallically next to one eye.
A scaly paw descends on your shoulder and you jump back. The librarian leans over you and snaps the computer off.
"I'm very sorry, my young friend, but that terminal isn't working right. It seems to have some sort of virus on it. You'll find our real catalog over there."
He points towards an alcove and you realize the walls of it are really the drawers of the old card catalog system. You look back to find him staring at you expectantly. "Uh... ok." You get up and obediently head towards the nook. Once there, you look back to see the last of him as he heads back to the desk.
For a few minutes you stare at the card catalog, trying to decide what to do. Somehow, the idea of a book isn't as appealing any more. You can't forget that look you saw on the wocky's face. And the librarian interrupting you that way just doesn't seem right. He almost acts like he's hiding something... but what?

There's no harm in looking at the cards are there? You've never used on in your life, but it shouldn't be hard, should it?
Hmmmm, there are different sections divided by handfuls of letters. What could they mean? The only way you find out is by opening it up.
The section 'Mo - Ni' is right in your face, so you pull it out. The fist card is
